Lisa's Birthday and Parent's Visit

Most of these pictures are long over due, but i figured better late than never.

We celebrated Lisa's 25th while her parents were here.  It was very exciting having them here to celebrate her birthday.  I also got a chance to do some very fun things ie. Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Brooklyn Botanicals and the Central Park.  I was also priveleged enough to have a few home cooked meals prepared by Lisa's parents where we ate lamb, steak, sweetened squash(lisa's favorite) to name a few, Here are a few pictures to tell the story......

Rangers/Leafs

This past weekend Lisa and I went to our/my first hockey game ever.

I use to follow when i was younger and really got into street and roller hockey back when I was growing up on Long Island.  I was too slow and fat to play some positiosn so most of the time I played goalie.  Anyway, that is how i learned how to rollerblade.  And when the Rangers won the cup on 1994 for the first time in 40 years, i remember getting pumped for the sport.

Lisa is a huge hockey fan and so her enthusiasm rubbed off onto me.  I picked up a pair of tix to the NY vs. Toronto game this past Sunday.  I've never had so much fun before!!  It was all about the hard hitting, goal scoring, and cheering for the teams.  Admittedly so, hockey fans are definitely more rowdy than most other sports fans. 

I attest and quote some of the fans:

• "You're a real sell out you know that?" (drunk fan)
• "hey buddy, you're still a traitor." (same drunk fan)
• "what do you think you're doing?! (the drunk fan who sat behind the drunk fan)
• "where'd you find her??"
• "Rangers are up 6-2, you're not so loud anymore are you?!"
• Dude walks by, looks at my jersey, then looks at Lisa's and delivers a shocking/surprised look.

Season is almost over, but i'm looking forward to more games next year.
